- Run and have fun by wearing fancy dress
Each year since 1997 more and more runners are identifying themselves
by wearing fancy dress which has now become a great feature of
annual UN Day 10 km Run. Runners who do this really have fun and
add to the great atmosphere of the race. In time is not important.
The UN Run organizers each year encourage persons with disabilities
to participate in the fun filled event and each year there are
more and more entries from wheelchair athletes, blind runners etc.
In addition, to encourage young children to participate in healthy
activities such as running a special Marafun for kids in organized
with the kind permission of the Royal Thai Army within the Royal
Thai Military Headquartes adjacent to the UN Building. The course
is around 800-1000 metres and the Marafun is open to all children
below the age of 12 years. Entry is free but the application from
should be completed and signed by the parent. Run numbers will
be issued but there are no prizes. The marafun will start at 06.00
a.m. simultaneously with the main 10 km Run
