  • Race:
    Relay - 8 persons per team (every member runs 5 - 6k x 3 times or total ~17k each runner)

  • Total Distance: 136.6 km

  • Start Time: 1 - 2 hours before sunrise

  • Finish Time: 1 hour after sunset

  • Time Limit: 14 hours

  • Divisions:
    - Open Men
    - Open Mix (at least 2 female runners in a team)
    - Master Men (all runners must be over 40 years old)
    - Master Mix (at least 2 female runners in a team and all runners must be over 40 years old)
    - Open Women

  • Race Course: Hilly in different sections

  • Car Course:

  • Car Rental: Rental van from Songkhla costs around US$ 50.- per day

  • The Rules:
    - Each runner must choose his or her running number within the team (1 to 8 team members).

    - The course is divided into 24 different sections, with every runner running 3 sections each. Runner number 1 must run section 1, 9 and 17. Runner number 2 must run section 2, 10 and 18. The pattern applies through runner number 8 who must run section 8, 16 and 24. So, the runner should pick the number where the course fits the runner's ability.

    - Each team must also have a van which can fit at least 7 runners and the team's supply. The van transports the rest of the runners to the next exchange point where the next runner waits for the baton from the active runner. 

    - The baton marks the active runner. The team baton must exchange hands only at each check point from the starting point to the finish line. The active runner must carry the baton to the next exchange station. The team total race time is the total time it takes for the baton to travel to the
    finish line.
     
  • Recommended Supplies (Teams):
    Each team is also responsible for providing water, food and other supplies for its member. Race officials will only be involving in officiating the race and during medical emergencies.

    - Water (approximately 3 liters per runner)
    - Sports drinks and other power drinks
    - Food such as bread, sandwiches, energy bars and other snacks
    - Fruits such as oranges, watermelons, etc.
    - Coolers and ice

  • Recommended Supplies (Runners):
    - Hats (It can get hot during mid-day)
    - Rain gear
    - Sunglasses
    - Sun block lotion
    - A few changes of clothes

  • Course Amenities:
    There are restaurants and gas stations along the course. Runners should be able to  find some food and restrooms fairly easily. Rental van from Songkhla costs around $ 50.- per day.

  • Post-Race Events and Race Results:
    Race results will be posted on the evening of the race. The award ceremony will also be held shortly after the result is posted.

  • Awards:
    - All finishers will receive Ocean to Ocean Relay finisher t-shirts
    -  The 5 fastest teams in each division receive an award
    -  Members of the teams may keep the team batons as a souvenir

    Notice: Awards may change without notice on race day to better suit the participants
